Last year Mom organized 23 members of our family to participate in the 2007 Hospice Walk and raise funds for the Hospice in Vinny's memory. We all walked together wearing green shirts with a photo of Vinny on the front and "TEAM HIGGINS" and a golden Shamrock on the back.

This year Mom organized and committed us again to participate in the 2008 Hospice Walk on a rainy Sunday morning, September 28th. 26 members of the family made the Walk including Nana, 10 of her grandchildren, Aunt Nina, and Uncle Ken - despite the rain we had fun and were excited to support the Hospice in memory of our Dad.

In 2006 the Hospice team provided daily care to our Dad/ Papa for seven months in his home. He was able to enjoy every day and he was so appreciative and grateful for the care and kindness he received. Our Mom & Dad couldn't have managed without all the collaboration and support from the Hospice team.

The Walk is our chance to thank the Hospice Of the North Shore for all they did for our family and to help them in providing care and support to other families.
