FrontLine Foundation’s Mission Statement
FrontLine Foundation exists to serve Christian Non-Profits in Central Oregon with financial assistance, grants, and other funding streams such as events. It is our desire to educate the community as to what the needs are in Central Oregon with Christian Non-Profits and partner with them to see them plugged in and serving.
The vision of FrontLine Foundation is simply to wash the feet of those doing work on the Front Lines.
The Historic Bend Run & Float Event www.HistoricBendRunandFloat.com
The Historic Bend Run & Float is an incredible event that includes a 3 month funding campaign to take place in the community and via FirstGiving, capped off with an event held at the Drake Park. Spearheaded by FrontLine Foundation, the Historic Bend Run & Float is a community event highlighting Bend’s historic, Christian roots while providing a family atmosphere, competitive & recreational events and entertainment for all.
How Does It Work?
· FrontLine Foundation launched the Historic Bend Run & Float event on May 22, 2009 to happen @ Drake Park on August 22, 2009, followed by 3 months of fundraising in Central Oregon;
· FrontLine Foundation will get Co-challengers for qualifying Match Orgs with a portion going to help fund the event;
· FrontLine Foundation will provide all marketing materials necessary for putting on a great fundraising event to help qualifying Christian Non-Profits in Central Oregon raise money.
A Taste of the Event
· Adventure, obstacle course, steeplechase-type RUN EVENT for recreational and competitive divisions (youth and adults) to take place near McKay Park in the Old Mill District;
· Recreational and competitive divisions (youth and adults) FLOAT EVENT that includes a variety of float options such as standing kayaks, canoes, and inner tubes doing a scavenger hunt-type competition.
· Fun activities for the entire family (i.e. sack races, pastor dunk tanks, pie eating contests, etc. are all possibilities!);
· Great BBQ food & lemonade stands served by local Christian Non-Profit;
· Awesome entertainment with local Christian bands, dance troops and more;
· Booths spotlighting the various Christian Ministries & Businesses in Central Oregon; and
· A look into Oregon’s Historic roots!
