Murakoze (thank you) for visiting my fundraising page for an upcoming mission trip to Rwanda with e3 Partners Ministry! I am hoping to go to Rwanda May 27, 2009 - June 4, 2009 as a member of an e3 team that is partnered with churches in rural areas of the country in an effort to start new churches and provide essential education and training materials to church members regarding evangelism, discipleship, HIV/AIDS, and more! Your support will result in hundreds, maybe thousands, of Rwandan men, women and children learning life-saving truth about HIV/AIDS, and bring them the Good News of God's love . Here are a few facts about Rwanda: 1. Rwanda experienced a brutal episode of genocide in 1994 in which nearly one million people were killed in only 100 days. 2. Rwandans today are learning how to forgive those responsible for killing loved ones in a nation-wide effort to reconcile former enemy tribes with each other in peace and reconstruction. 3. Rwanda is approximately the size of Maryland and has over 10 million inhabitants. 4. The median age is 18.7 in Rwanda! Between genocide and the AIDS epidemic, the majority of the population consists of orphans. 5. Rwanda is the safest country in Africa due to the effect of forgiveness and reconciliation that is taking place. 6. Rwanda is "a land of 1000 hills." 7. Because of the rugged terrain, residents can only access services that are within walking distance. This is why partnering with churches to establish new churches in every village is so important! Give a donation so churches can be started in every neighborhood! Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! ~ Imana agude umugisha! God bless you!
