Who are we: 1RCK, Running Club Kaiserslautern: created as a running club with a strong social emphasis encouraging, competition, community and camaraderie. 

In March of 2009, 10 members of 1RCK, in conjunction with United States Air Force (USAF) 7 Summits, www.usaf7summits.com, will take on the adventure of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to honor the members of the USAF and encourage camaraderie.  We are honored to take on this challenge in name of a worthy charity that brings better lives to the widowed Americans and their children, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF), www.specialops.org.

Our ultimate fundraising goal for this trek is to collectively raise $5,000 in honor of fallen warriors through the SOWF. The SOWF provides free scholarship grants, financial aid, and educational counseling to the children of Special Operations personnel of all services who have been killed in an operational mission or training. Offering assistance to the families through donations will help support the children and families of true American heroes.
