Team Bella - Sunrise Ascent on Mount Washington
I am Bella Hibberd
I am 10 years old.
I like to ski, hike, swim ,bike, play computer games, and hang out with my friends.
I am very adventurous and like to try new things.
Soon I will try ziplining for the first time.
I love skiing because it is fast and exciting.
I love hiking because it is something my family and I enjoy doing together.
I love the thrill of biking independently.
I love the freeing way I can move when I swim.
I love Pink - the color and the singer.
I love French Club.
I do not love homework club.
I want to help grow a garden this summer.
I love going to 99 with my family.
I do not like going to the movies.
I instigate my little brother and laugh really hard when he gets mad.
I cry when my little brother gets hurt.
I love the wind blowing in my face.
I like to tell jokes.
I love frosting and mashed potatoes.
I do not like squash.
THIS is who I am.
By the way.....I have Cerebral Palsy, am non-verbal, and use a wheelchair.
Thanks to a wonderful community and Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC) I can be who I am.
Because of the challenges I face I cannot do many things independently so if it wasn't for ASPNC skiing me down the mountain, hiking my up mountains, willing and excited to take me ziplining, biking with me in a parade (my first parade!) and just supporting me to experience whatever I choose my life would have such a void.
I may not be standing on ski's as I go down the mountain but I feel the speed and excitement of going down the slopes that any skier does.
I may not walk up the mountain on my own feet but I experience the breathtaking views and the companionship of hiking with my family and ASPNC friends.
Please help support my team to make the hike up Mount Washington and raise funds needed to continue all of the ASPNC programs that I enjoy so much.
Thank you!
