Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country has been established to provide year-round opportunities in sports and recreation for people with physical or developmental disabilities. Our goal is to enhance the personal development and self-esteem of participants, and to provide them with an opportunity to take risks in a safe and supportive environment. It is our core belief that, for a person with a disability, the opportunity to experience the thrills of the outdoors can often be a life-affirming experience. The organization is committed to including the families of its participants, volunteers, partner organizations, and the North Country community in its efforts.

Our setting in the North Country is filled with multiple opportunities for outdoor adventures. It gives us access to a wide variety of venues from nearby lakes, streams, roadways and the trails of the White Mountain National Forest to the tennis courts, pools and slopes of area resorts. This enables us to offer paddling, waterskiing, road cycling, cross country mountain biking, nature walks, hiking, golf, tennis, and swimming in warm weather, as well as downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, skating, sledge hockey, and indoor swimming in cold weather.

Our participants have a wide range if disabilities and include wounded veterans, special needs students, people from local service agencies such as Common Ground, sports enthusiasts who have become disabled through accident or illness and students working to attend the Special Olympics. Our programs are designed for people with spinal cord injury, stroke, head injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, autism, developmental disabilities, seizure disorders, visual and auditory impairments, ALS, and many others disabilities.

Please join us in bringing programs to people with disabilities who want to enjoy sports and recreation activities in the North Country.
