Thank you for visiting my fundraiser page for BARCC's 6th Annual Walk For Change. Sexual violence impacts many people of different ages, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds. Sadly, this type of violence is more common than you would expect. Sexual violence is the LEAST reported crime, and yet 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men will experience a sexual assault at some point in their lifetime. BARCC offers free services to survivors of rape and sexual assault, as well as their family members and friends. Any donation amount you choose will give BARCC the ability to continue to provide free services to the community. $25 helps BARCC answer two hotline calls.
$75 pays for medical accompaniment to a hospital emergency room by a trained volunteer.
$200 supports the first three sessions of free counseling for survivors and their families.
$1,000 allows a new volunteer or intern to attend BARCC’s comprehensive training program.
