Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
Max and Chet Smith started riding at Centaur Stride in May 2009 -- and have begged to go each week since!
Every aspect of their hour at Centaur Stride is beneficial.
For Max, who has low muscle tone due to ataxia, riding is a great way of building core strength and stamina. Grooming Maple allows him to stretch and improves his flexibility.
For Chet, who has PDD-NOS, the sensory input of riding Gypsy helps with focus, allowing improved attention, compliance and social interaction.
Unlike other therapies, what the boys remember about their time at Centaur Stride is FUN, FUN, FUN.
Chet and Max have found great healing, hope and joy through horses -- and it wouldn't have been possible without Centaur Stride and its core of dedicated staff of volunteers who give their time and talents to each rider.
Please join us as we walk March 13 to make sure many others get the gift of healing with horses!
