In Loving Memory of Sean Michael Flynn

We are plunging in memory of Sean Michael Flynn in honor or his buddy and Nephew Gerrick Michael Westwood!!

Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page. They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the Plunge and I am one of those folks. I’m collecting donations from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the more than 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 11,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donation helps provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

To reward your generosity, I’m going to join more than 6,000 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois. I guess you could say that I'm "Freezin' for a Reason"!

Sean passed away June 22, 2012 tragically in a motorcycle accident.  We are keeping his name alive by doing as much as possible in his memory.  Sean had a great and giving heart.  His nephew, and my son, Gerrick Westwood has down syndrome.  When he learned of Gerrick participation in special olympics he was beyond excited.  So we will plunge in Seans memory and in Gerrick's honor.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.

Many thanks for your support – and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
