Walk, Paddle and Roll 2011
Hello Everyone And Thanks For Visiting Our Mission Page!
As many of you know or may not know, I am on the Board of Directors for Freshwater Future and West Grand Boulevard Collaborative (WGBC). Both organizations believe the waters found in the Great Lakes region are an international treasure. The residents of Michigan are very fortunate to be surrounded by such beautiful bodies of fresh water that provide opportunities to fish, boat, and take in spectacular views. Most of all, the Great Lakes provide fresh water for our daily needs.
However, there many threats to our vital resource--Asian carp, "sulfide" mining, hydrofracking and storm water infiltration. That is why Jaylin and I are on a mission to raise funds to help protect our Great Lakes.
Between now and Thanksgiving, my grandson, Jaylin and I will ride our bikes for a total of 10 miles on the paths of Belle Isle in Detroit to raise money for Freshwater Future and the West Grand Boulevard Collaborative. Our goal is $1000.00. Will you please consider helping us to meet our goal by donating to this worthy cause? Any amount is appreciated--please consider giving up a coffee, lunch, or dinner to help. Your donation will go directly to Freshwater Future and small groups like the WGBC who work to keep our waters clean.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Thanks Again,
Deborah and Jaylin
