7 Continents 4 The Trust

On November 24th I plan on crossing the finish line at the Racing the Planet : Last Desert 150 mile self-supported run in Antarctica!

This will be the culmination of 5 years of running that will have put me in expedition level races of 150 miles or more on all 7 continents.

My races have taken me throughout the US, Newfoundland (Canada), Switzerland, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, Namibia, China, New Zealand and many points in between!

This past December you all helped me raise $20,000 dollars as I ran 250 miles across the Florida Everglade to Key West.

In August of 2009, I am competing in the Gortex Trans Rockies Run (135 miles), followed by RTP Beyond: Australia in April of 2010.  I will close up my 7 Continents with The Last Desert in Antarctica in November of 2010.  In between I am planning on running 4 half-marathons, 6 marathons, 2 50km, 3 50 milers, 1 100km and my first 100mile run.

I am attempting these amazing runs to benefit The Endurance Trust in their efforts  to help raise money for and awareness of Pediatric Brain Tumor Research.

I do this to honor a tough little 10 year old - the son of one of my Pfizer colleagues - Ben McDonald, who, with his family, struggles everyday with the effects of his brain tumor and the limited treatment options he is offered.

I do this because I know that any of my 4 kids could be in his shoes tomorrow.

I do this because I can...

All that I am asking of you is to support me as I support Ben, his family and the thousands like them that are dealing with these tumors everyday.

Please take a minute, donate $5 or $10 - hit up your company match - every penny counts.  The Endurance Trust is also a beneficiary through the United Way Campaign with Tax ID # 20-3330003!

For all that you will do to help these kids and to support me in the many hundreds of miles that I have  before me, I am grateful!
