Team Captain Esme M. Infante's page for #PolarPlungeHI!

ALOHA, my Ohana of family and friends!

Please support me and my ICE ICE CRAZIES team as we take the Polar Plunge on March 29 to support Special Olympics Hawaii!  We'll dress in "crazy" costumes and slide 30 feet down Oahu’s largest inflatable water slide into a pool of 34-degree ice water on the lawn of Restaurant Row at Waterfront Plaza, all to raise money for this awesome organization!

(Psssst ... your donation also helps fulfill my birthday wish! ;) This is a landmark year for me personally, and I assembled this team as a way to celebrate in an unusual way while serving our community. The ICE ICE CRAZIES are some of my dearest friends who hail from disparate parts of my life, but are united by a common love of big fun and a desire to support the Special Olympics' worthy cause. <3 )

I have set a personal minimum fundraising goal of $1,250 (it WAS $250 and then $500 originally, but then things got nuts — mahalo, everyone!). I  would appreciate any help you can offer! You can quickly and easily make a secure gift of $50, $25, $10, $5 or any amount by clicking on the "Donate" button.

You can also make a check out to "Special Olympics Hawai'i" and write my name in the memo line to make sure that it will be credited to my fundraising goal. Please send the check to:

Special Olympics Hawai'i currently serves 3,534 local keiki and adults with intellectual disabilities and provides them with opportunities to participate in year-round sports training and competition. Your tax-deductible donation will enable our athletes to succeed – both on and off the playing field – and receive these services and activities at no cost to themselves or their families. I have friends involved in Special Olypics locally and on the Mainland. I also believe deeply in the impact that fitness and teamwork experiences can have on people. So it is my pleasure to support Special Olympics Hawaii's efforts.
