Thank you for visiting our Fundraising Page!
The Racing Against Leukemia event was started by a member of SCCA's New England Region after his daughter, Danielle, was diagnosed and treated for leukemia at UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center. This event is dedicated to raising money to fund ongoing cancer research at the UMass Medical School. Danielle is now a healthy young woman, and her legacy is NER's premiere community service project. Many members have special reasons for participating in this event and they need your support!
The New England Region is hosting the 23rd Annual Racing Against Leukemia Weekend (August 4-5) at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH. For more event information, visit http://www.ner.org. If you'd like to see the kind of racing we're participating in, please visit our YouTube site or our racing blog. If you like what you see, come join us!
On a personal note, this is always our favorite event because it brings all three divisions of racing together in a positive atmosphere, and for a good cause. We have all been touched by the disease in some way: Some of us come from a family of cancer survivors, who without funding for research, might have been victims instead. Several of us have friends and family members fighting, and some have lost those dear to us, so we are even more committed to helping them find a cure.
