Welcome to the donation page for Humanity First USA's Gift of Sight Mission. Now that you are here, close your eyes and cover them with your hands so that no light goes through, or imagine having a field of vision the size of a pinhole where the surrounding area is pitch black. These are some of the cases or conditions that the deserving yet underprivileged people of Guatemala face.

Here is where you come in, please donate as much or as little as you can so that the team of doctors and volunteers can help hundreds if not thousands of Guatemalan's see better or see for the first time. No donation is too little, every bit adds up and will serve this profound cause.

Please Support Humanity First USA's Gift of Sight (GoS) Mission. GoS will return to Guatemala in October 2012 to run a free surgical eye clinic and optometry camp for the people of Guatemala.

The first trip in September 2010 was a resounding success-- a small team of volunteers provided free eye exams for hundreds of patients and successfully performed over 25 cataract surgeries. In 2011, 26 surgeries were performed and we also held an optometry camp which helped 125 people get the eyecare and glasses they needed. Our surgeons also gave lectures and provided hands-on teaching opportunities for local Guatemalan medical residents. 

Your donation will help cover the travel expenses of medical volunteers to offer their services and expertise for the residents of Guatemala and help give the gift of sight.
