I've committed to being apart of the Police Unity Tour and riding in honor of my fallen hero, K-9 Officer Joshua T. Miktarian of the Twinsburg PD and a fellow fallen brother in blue, Officer Tommy Patton of the Cleveland Hts PD.
I will ride a bicycle alongside with several hundred other participants honoring fallen Officers. The ride begins in New Jersey and goes to Washington DC during Police Week this May.
Each participant is required to raise $1750.00 which is donated to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in DC. So far I have raised $750.00. Two organizations, OPBA (The Ohio Police Benevolent Association) and The Cleveland Police Officer's Memorial Society gracioulsy donated. This leaves me with $1000 to still raise.
I am very honored to ride in memory of my husband. It will be emotional for me as I ride into DC and see my daughter standing next to her Daddy's name on the National Memorial Wall.
I am also riding for Officer Tommy Patton as Thea and I have become good friends with is fiance' Trish Sindelar and their daughter Kayleigh and The Patton Family. Thea and I have gone on vacation with Trish and Kayleigh and I cant begin to tell you how I enjoy having a friend that understands what I'm feeling as a widow and also seeing Thea form a friendship with another little girl who understands what she deals with.
If you are able to donate something I would greatly appreciate it, big or small. If you cant afford to donate, please keep me in your thoughts,I've never done something like this before!!
