H2O: Walk for Water

In partnership with Compassion International and Water of Life, H.O.P.E. Academy is working to raise funds to purchase safe water systems for impoverished families.

Many children suffer and die daily because of a lack of clean water. It is hard to think of clean water as a luxury, but in reality, we are incredibly privileged to be able to turn on the faucet and drink!Compassion works among the poorest of the poor and seeks to provide the children and families that they serve with safe water. We can partner with them in this great work. $55 will purchase a water filtration system for a family that will provide that family with clean water FOR LIFE! It is our goal to raise funds to purchase 58 water systems in partnership with Compassion.

In order to reach our goal, we will be hosting our first H2O: Walk for Water on Friday, May 25.

H2O Stands for H.O.P.E. to Others! Each student who participates will seek sponsors to donate as they reach their goal for the walk. The walk will be held in our own school parking lot and will be one of many fun activities taking place that day. We will have a deejay and kid’s carnival games to wrap up our school year in a fun and positive way! I ask that you would begin to prayerfully consider how you would like to be involved. Parents, students, and family members are encouraged to raise funds and walk. If each staff member and student is able to raise $25, we will reach our goal!
