Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! The goal of my  journey was to raise money and awareness for The Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health. 6+ months ago, my brother Nieco and I left San Diego CA and cycled up the west coast, into Canada. I left Vancouver BC and cycled to Manitoba and back to the states. In Maryland, I had the privilege of visiting The Inn and meeting some of the families and children who will benefit from your generosity. Since its opening nearly 25 years ago, The Inn has served as home to more than 11,500 children from all over the world who are being treated at National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world's premier biomedical research facility. The Children's Inn is a nonprofit organization located on the NIH campus. Children and families travel long distances for days, weeks or months at a time for treatment of illnesses such as cancer, heart, lung, blood, bone and growth disorders, mental illnesses, and HIV infection. At the end of the treatment day, they leave behind the IV drips, needles, nurses and doctors and return to The Inn, where kids can be kids for a while, instead of patients. They are with their own families, meeting new friends, and surrounded by caring staff and volunteers. They have access to fun, educational and therapeutic activities and cool places throughout The Inn to just hang out with other kids, all free of charge.

My "Journey around America" was to help these children who have a long journey of their own.  I cycled over 6000 miles, 551 hours, rode in 2 countries, 18 states, 4 provinces. Arriving in Florida I sold my bike and began my run/walk back to my home town of Imperial Beach CA. I have ran/walked approximately 2563 miles, 857 hours through 8 states, stayed in 86 cities, towns, parks from Florida to California! My journey is over, I have yet to reach my goal of 10,000 for The Children's Inn, I will continue to bring awareness and raise funds during the holidays, your generous donation is appreciated!

Check out the video my buddy Hugo Medrano put together of some of my journey.

A very heart felt " thank you" to you and the many good people of the United States and Canada for their many acts of kindness. I couldn't have finished my journey without you. Please forward this to family, friends and co workers who you think might want to help these families and their children.
