Janet Westerfield's Page
As you know, Janet was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease in 2010. HD is a debilitating neurological disorder that affects the entire body with involuntary movements, difficulty in walking, slurred speech, difficulty in swallowing and eventually physically and cognitively incapacitated. Troy, Traci and their seven children each have a 50/50 chance of inheriting the gene that causes HD.
This May will be our 3rd Walk for HD and we invite you to join us at Team Hope Walk for a Cure on Saturday, May 19th at U.C.I. in Irvine- beginning at 8:00 a.m. This annual event will be the 10th in Orange County and provides awareness, education and most importantly fund raising for HD research to help find the CURE for this horrible disease. There will be a new 10K run this year, prior to the 5K Walk, and then a super lunch with entertainment.
We are asking you to support our fundraising efforts. Any amount will be most appreciated (it is tax deductible) and will help to achieve our overall goals. The money goes to research and will make a cure closer to reality and help to create a better life for those people who are currently suffering and those with a chance of inheriting HD.
You can donate through our website which is very easy and Secure or with a personal check. (Make checks payable to Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA-OC) and mail to us at 26 Sagitta Way, Trabuco Canyon, CA 92679. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT !
