Marterella Winery is a small, boutique family winery in the heart of Virginia Wine and Horse Country in  Warrenton, Virginia founded by Jerry and Kate Marterella.  The Marterella Melanoma Foundation has been founded to honor the  memory of my beloved husband  Jerry Marterella of 23 years.  Jerry  bravely fought a courageous battle against stage 4 metastic melanoma for over two years.  Jerry lost his battle to melanoma Monday, April 23, 2012.  We wish to support the research and cure efforts of the Melanoma Research Foundation.  Without the research and the experiemental medical intervention programs we would not have had the privilege of the gift of time that Jerry was able to realize as a result of being able to participate in these programs.   

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our family and winery's  fundraising efforts in  memory of Jerry Marterella.
