Butter's Fundraising Page
Butters ia an adorable guy who always has a smile on his face. He was rescued from South LA Animal Shelter. He had been in a home for two years until he needed to be rehomed. He also needed training. We sent him to one of the best trainers around where he got top notch training. He still very much needs a home. He sadly now needs surgery, which until he gets will be hard to place him.
Butters has a fluctuating patella. An affected dog commonly stops and cries out in pain as he is running. The affected leg will be extended rearward, and for a while the dog is unable to flex it back into the normal position. They may hold the leg up for several days and show considerable discomfort. Dogs who have a luxating patella on both hind legs may change their entire posture, dropping their hindquarters and holding the rear legs farther out from the body as they walk. Those most severely affected may not even use their rear legs, walking by balancing themselves on their front legs like a circus act, holding their hindquarters completely off the ground. We hope with Butter's surgery his discomfort will not get to this level.
Please donate what you can to help Butters in his search for his forever home and to help ensure he does not live a life of discomfort.
