Meet Blue.  A beautiful blue pit that some guy bought to show off to his friends. He wanted a "cool" dog, a "tough" dog.  At first he treated Blue like a trophy.  Showed him off to his friends, and paraded him around on a large chain.  The wiggles and wags he greeted everyone with was real "tough"  After a few months Blue was old news to him. He is just under a year old now and he lived the last 8 months tied up in a backyard.  He wore a heavy chain with a big padlock. Sometimes his "owner" came out to give him water and food, but he often forgot. 

Someone taking a walk one day noticed him lonely in the backyard.  She continued to walk by hoping something would change. During May it started to get hot outside and Blue spent most of his days sleeping, trying to fight off the heat.  He couldn't get to the shade because his chain was too short, and the days he did not get water he woud not lift his head.  Too many days went by and each day the heat was rising. With each day Blue looked more tired and sad. The lady decided it was time to save the dog before it was too late.  She retrieved the dog from the "owner" and now he needs YOUR help. 

Blue needs the funds to get him into boarding until he can find a home.  He is loved and will find a great home. Right now, he needs time in boarding/training to socialize with other dogs, and learn to trust the new people who care about him.
