Meet Indigo AKA "Indy" - he's a four-month-old, pure Blue-Nose Pit-Bull.  The little guy is the product of a back-yard breeder in a low-income neighborhood.  When the breeder couldn't sell Indy, he gave him to the family next door.  However, the family couldn't afford to get their dogs vaccinated, and, as a result, Indy just tested positive for Parvo.

Indy has been rescued and is being boarded at a vet, getting the necessary treatment.  Although the mortality-rate for puppies infected with Parvo is very high, Indy is a strong little guy and has a good shot at beating it.  The treatment is expensive, though, and it is estimated that it will cost around $1,500 to get Indy healthy again.
