Update:  Juno and her babies are doing great.  Juno went into surgery today (3/3/10).  Our fundraising goal is now $3,000.  Thank you to everyone that has donated already.  We are so thankful for your support.

With a badly broken hind-leg and a stomach full of babies, poor frightened Juno had to find a place to give birth to her puppies.  The only place she could find was a crawl-space, basically a hole under a building full of dirt and gravel, in Ontario, CA.  Juno gave birth to her puppies in this cold, dark hole on the weekend of February 20.  The poor girl isn't even a year old and still a puppy herself.  Without food or water, she and her puppies easily could have died, but a nice woman, Erin Logan, discovered Juno and her puppies and gave her food and water.  She could tell that Juno was scared but sweet, and she put the word out that Juno needed help.  She spoke to Animal Services who said they wouldn't help the dog, and even if they did take Juno and her puppies, they would all be euthenized.
