Ginger and Chocolate Charlie's Wedding Page
Ginger and Charlie were both from a hoarding case that took place almost four years ago. All the dogs were impounded in the Los Angeles County Shelters where they sat for three years before they were released for adoption to the public and rescues. Both dogs have suffered from being kenneled for such a long period of time, never taking a walk, never sitting in the warm sun, only on a cold floor in a dark shelter.
Ginger and Charlie both were rescued from the Baldwin Shelter three years after being impounded. Although they were never in the same area during those three years, when they saw each other it’s was if they have known each other forever. And perhaps they have! It is possible that Ginger and Charlie while living at the hoarders house were lovers and best friends, separated when Animal Control came in and separate the females and the males in their shelters. Boy I bet they really missed one another. It’s as if half their hearts were missing. Their bond is strong because of what they both endured, their pain and fear, they understand each others. They also now share the same freedom and the same happiness.
Karma Rescue has taken these two love dogs in and placed them together in a foster home. Each morning Ginger will crawl into Charlie’s crate for some snuggles. They will sun together in the yard. They walk side by side walking down the street for exercise. Neither of them is ever bothered by the other. They just stare with much love in their eyes. Charlie seems to be Ginger’s savior. Charlie protects Ginger and makes her feel safe always. He is there to hold her when she is scared, he is the only one who can comfort her. Ginger admires her man dearly. She always makes sure he is right there and that he is ok.
Finally the time came and Ginger asked Charlie to marry her. Charlie was so happy! His whole face lit up and tail went a’waggin. The two have set their wedding date for July 25th at 3pm. From now on these two dogs will live together, Happily Ever After!
Ginger and Charlie are asking for donations to Karma Rescue as their wedding gift. They are going to share all the money raised with other dogs in need at Karma Rescue. Their goal is $500 but the more donations made in honor of Ginger and Charlie the better.
