I want to introduce myself! They call me Spunky, because, well, I have a lot of spunk! I am one happy little 6 week old puppy, although my short life didn't begin very well. I was only 3 weeks old when someone just left me in a shoebox out in front of the pound. I was terrified until a wonderful volunteer took me under his wing and asked Karma Rescue to step in and save my life. I am so grateful they saved me but now it turns out that after seeing a specialist, I have a very painful and serious leg and elbow injury, called a humeral fracture with elbow joint malalignment with a distal diaphyseal fracture (wow, that was a mouthful!). They said this injury occurred when I was brand new to this world, and doesn't allow me to use my right front leg, so I hop around on my other three good legs. Since I am still so young, the specialist said she can do her magic surgery and correct the damage to my leg, but with the CT scans, x-rays, anesthesia, and a complicated surgery, my medical bills are going to be very expensive....and they said they won't let me pay with the milk bones I've saved up! I desperately want to save my leg and not have it amputated because I love to run and play and can t wait to go on my very first hike. I'm thrilled that so many people care about me and I would be ever so grateful if you would consider donating to my medical expenses so I can save my leg.
