I Kerry Lynn Spindler, Founder of Kspin Designs, was a fashion model who was diagnosed with Melanoma at the age of 27. Now, a decade later, I’m a survivor who is fully aware of just how lucky I am to be here. That experience has turned me passionate in my efforts to teach others, especially children, about the significant health benefits of promoting sun safety.
We will be unveiling our collection of fall children’s fashions at the Trunk Show on Saturday; but you don’t have to have children to benefit from this event. The evening will be geared toward adults, and with that in mind we’re planning a fun, enjoyable experience you’ll look back on fondly for years. For our guests who do have children, we understand that it would be useless to coach them on proper sun safety techniques if they weren’t then followed at home by their parents. To that end, we will happily be set up to teach you everything from proper hair and skin care, fashion, make-up application, and sunless tanning in an effort to compliment a new found understanding and appreciation for your skin.
Just to reiterate the events on tap for this amazing night, we are thrilled to present a 5 piece jazz band, recording artists from New York and Paris, France, Broadway dancers from New York City, a comedian, book author, hair stylist, make-up artist, fashion stylist, sunless tanning experts, and adult models from all age brackets displaying their beautiful porcelain skin. We’ll also have qualified professional in hand equipped with a sun scanner to measure your current sun damage. They’ll be providing tips to reverse damage and premature aging, too.
Additionally, we will have a fashion photographer working in conjunction with the stylist to make up and photograph you in a “mini shoot,” just as we do with our models of sunless beauty, the Kspin Kittens. Also, we’ve reached out to a whole host of celebrities, and you never know just who might show up...
We never take the issue of Melanoma or Skin Cancer lightly, and because we care about you and those whom you may instruct afterward, we have gone to great lengths to ensure that you will have, as well as be aware of, all the tools necessary to maintain your health and beauty.
‘Sunless Beauty’ is our motto for this much anticipated event-an event for men and women of all ages. We are working hard to be certain that you will walk away with a new appreciation for your skin, and full understanding of the need to keep your loved ones free from the dangers of the sun.
It’s highly unlikely you could visit a hair salon, make-up artist, esthetician and photographer, while having dinner and live entertainment all at the same venue, for $100 per person. Though it may sound like a lot, when you consider its charitable impact and personal value, the cost is insignificant.
