2011 Los Angeles Ride for Kids
Dear Friends,
We've never been ones to ask for support but childhood brain tumors are just not something you can ignore. Each year we've volunteered with Ride for Kids we've met some amazing kids and their families.
Every day nine children are diagnosed with a brain tumor, the most deadly form of cancer in children. Ten years ago a diagnosis meant a child had about five months to live. Today life expectancy has risen to longer than 3 years. Maybe, in another ten years, that number can be doubled or even tripled.
We need your support.
We invite you to attend or volunteer on the big day and meet the kids and families as well as 850+ motorcyclists with big hearts. If you can't attend please consider making a donation here that will directly benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Online donations are fast, easy and totally secure (not to mention tax deductible!). No donation is too small. Really. $10, $15, whatever you can spare will go to help the kids. If you prefer, you may mail us a check to PO Box 5278, San Pedro, CA 90733-5278.
This year the Los Angeles Ride for Kids will be taking place on Sunday, May 15, 2011 starting out at American Honda Motor Co. in Torrance, California and riding along the ocean in the beach cities and over the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula.
The Los Angeles Ride for Kids benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. For more information visit the Los Angeles Ride for Kids website or the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation,
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to contribute, too!
All our best,
Diesel & Squish
