Live Right, Love Right.
Our Son Lucas Richard Christensen was born with a heart defect at
The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia,in the U.S.A.on October 12,2010.
When Lucas was only two days old Lucas underwent open heart surgery and
surrvived. He had an amazing recovery and was discharged 6 days later.
After we brought Lucas home a week later he passed away. He had become sick one night while at home and he was transfered back to The
Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia where the doctors did all that they
could but unfortunately it was to late and our Son became an angel that
night.
As destroyed as we are about our Son's tragic death we know that we
need to be lucky we even met him at all. We know this was possible because of
the doctors and medicine Lucas was able to receive. The care and treatment
he had from The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia was incredible and we
know how lucky Lucas was to be treated there. To know that there are places
in the world where such incredible care is deprived from children and
children are dying from the unabilty to obtain the care Lucas was given
absolutely breaks our hearts.
Once Lucas passed a lot of people have asked where they can donate in honor of Lucas. We have chosen this charity WorldVision to be the main charity to make donations to in Lucas's name. By donating for either a gift of medicine or the Maximum impact gift here on this page , money will go where it is needed most in helping to save a child's life and distribute supplies that they need to surrvive. Medicine, food, water, or education your money will go to a child in need in honor of our Son Lucas Richard Christensen.
We believe the purpose of our son's all to short life was to make the lives around him better and motivate us all to Live Right and Love right. We hope we can continue to do Lucas's job in making people more specifically children's lives better so that they too can have the chance to Live Right and Love Right.
Please make a donation today.
With Much Love and Gratitude,
Ben & Gina ( Lucas's Parents)
