Hello Family & Friends,
As some of you may know, I recently lost my father to malignant melanoma in September. My dad was first diagnosed in 2008, but was thought to be free and clear of melanoma until a cancerous lump appeared early this year. Sadly, it took no more than eight months for the cancer to become terminal.
I never thought in a million years that melanoma would take my dad's life.
I don't want any of you to fall victim to it. And I don't want to hear one more person say, "Eh, it's just skin cancer."
Facts: There is no cure for malignant melanoma and most Americans remain uneducated about skin cancer, its causes and its consequences.
Please join me in raising money for the Melanoma Foundation of New England. I do not expect to change the world with this event or expect that researchers will find a cure soon. But I do believe that education and funding can help save a life and/or provide melanoma warriors with the support they need to battle this deadly cancer.
