Dixie Chick - New Hope Cattle Dogs Rescue
January 18th Update:
Dixie is now being treated for the heart worms with the aggressive form of treatment which is very dangerous for her and so far so good but it is costing us an additional $600.00. She will be going back in on the 3rd of Feb and will get back to back shots and will be hospitalized an additional 6 days before she can come back home to her foster mom. Other than that she is doing great.
Thank you for your generous donations for Dixie. She is such a sweet girl.

Hello Everyone,
My foster mom wanted to let you all know that I am now a very adoptable dog. She spent 8 months with me finding ways to prove to me that humans are OK, I was a fearful when she took me into rescue but now I am cautious with strangers but OK with them. She had a vet do a blood draw 3 weeks ago to check for heart worms and sadly it came back positive, I just had my first treatment last Monday the 12th of Sept and did really well at the vet and am glad to be back at home.
I won't be adoptable for at least a month and so I can get my second treatment. I will then be on Heartguard for several months but will be adoptable after my next treatment. Our rescue sure could use some help with funding for my treatments which is going to be between $500 to $600, please help if you can, my foster mom loves me very much and wants me to have the best home possible. Thank you from the Dixie Chick.
