Second Update - Saturday, Feb. 20th
We are a week out from the plunge - 16 plungers strong SO FAR - and it is not too late to GIVE to this GREAT cause.
Phil & Nathan will be home tonight after competing at the National Bowling Tournament in Reno where they won a BRONZE medal in team competition & a SILVER in doubles competition. I can tell from their phone calls they are having a GREAT time. That is why we work sooo hard for Special Olympics - BECAUSE IT WORKS! It's not about winning medals but having a GREAT time while doing your best!
Phil & I will be walking the neighborhood tomorrow asking for donations - it's a tradition - just like going into the icy Eagle Creek Reservoir! So please consider making a generous pledge to support our son Phil and the Special Olympics program in Washington Township. Thank you!
- PEACE - Ray
Wednesday, February 10 First Update
Just 17 days until I take my 6th plunge into Eagle Creek Reservior. The thank you and request letters have been mailed. I have reached 40% of my goal with just over $2,000 collected so far.
Many thanks to Mr. Caldwell, Dave, Mary, Kim and everyone at ProtoType Systems for printing the letters and envelopes - sure hope the return envelope works - so far so good.
This is my second blast email and I hope you will consider making a donation to my team and our local program - Washington Township!
Thank you - Phil

Hello everyone:
Thank you for visiting my 2010 Polar Plunge Page!
I want to THANK EVERYONE who made a donation in 2009. For the fifth year in a row I won the "Most Money Raised by an Individual" award and I could not have done that without your help and support.
My local program - Washington Township was able to raise just under $9,000.00 to support our sports & social events!
But here go again - this will be my 6th year to plunge into the icy Eagle Creek Reservior on Saturday, February 27th & Dad tells me it is his last year - we will see. Just like in the past the INdiana Autism Sertoma Club will be matching my donations - so please be as generous as you can. Your donation helps support my local program and our state organization - SOIN!
I will be using my new employer - Prototype System, to help mail my donation letter, which should hit your mailbox yet this week - I hope!
So if you don't want to donate online you can send me a check - please make it payable to: SOIN and mail it to me at
55 Highland Manor Crt S. Indpls., IN 46228-1414.
As you can see from the picture - Washington Township had 14 brave souls go into the Reservior in 2009 - this year we hope to have 30 folks take the plunge and our goal is $15,000 SO please give as much as you can. Thanks again for support & GO COLTS!
