SPECIAL OLYMPICS INDIANA

Polar Plunge 2009 - Indianapolis Indianapolis,  Indiana

Philip Baker's Polar Bear Plunge Page

Monday - February 23rd

Well here we are 5 days out from the big plunge and we have gone over the $2,500.00 mark, so we have made our match with the IN Autism Sertoma Club - and that puts us at $5,000.00 +      Thank you to all who have given so far.

BUT we are still $3,000 away from our goal - can you help?

Please make a donation here on-line or drop your donation in the mail right away.  Make your check payable to:  SOIN and mail it to Philip Baker 55 Highland Manor Crt S, Indpls., IN 46228.

Phil & I just got back from the Special Olympics National Bowling Tournment held in Las Vegas.  The Washington Township Team did well.  Philip was awarded a gold metal in the 4-person team and the doubles competition.  It was a great trip and just points out why Linda and I are so into Special O's ---IT WORKS - not just for Phil but for all of our athletes, partners, volunteers, parents and friends.

SO MAKE A DONATION NOW if you can - Thanks & PEACE!    Ray

Hello Everyone!

First, I want to thank all of you who supported our Plunge effort in 2008.  Our township team raised over $13,300.00 to fund not only our local program but also Special Olympics IN.   I was able to raise enough to win my 4th "Most Money Raised by an Individual" award - thank you all very much!

It's that time of year again - on Saturday, February 28th, our Township Team will be "Freezin' for a Reason" to raise money for Special Olympics.  You can join the Team by raising pledges and plunging with us on the 28th.  As you can see from our 2008 Team picture, we had a great turnout - (left to right) Dad, Kathy Gill, Shane McPheron, Jason Broderick, Scott Purucker, my brother Nathan, Ron Bigham and that's me holding the T-shirt.

BUT you can also join our Team by making a generous donation right here on-line at FirstGiving!

Again this year Indiana Autism Sertoma Club will be matching our first $2,500.00 in pledges, so your pledge doubles in value - a great deal in these very tough times.

SO DIG DEEP, make a pledge today and help support a great Special Olympics local program in Washington Township!

Philip Baker
