Some of you may already know we are a student volunteer organization called RAMPS.  We help the elderly and disabled who cannot afford wheelchair ramps for their homes.  Many of these individuals are in wheelchairs or walkers and have to rely on the kindness (and schedules) of friends, neighbors, or even the local rescue squad for assistance in and out of their homes. 

So far, we've built 135 wheelchair ramps for elderly and disabled individuals who were otherwise trapped in their homes.  135 ramps, assembled by over 300 hard-working students for over 3000 volunteer hours!  Every dollar you donate supports our efforts in the community - see some of the ramps we've completed at www.rampsbystudents.org .  Or you can see us working on a few of them - just visit the archives page and type in a last name.

The average ramp cost is $3000.00,  and we recycle ramp materials as soon as possible - in fact, we recycled $20,000 worth of materials into new ramps in the last year alone.
