CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Seattle Section will turn 100 years old in 2013!
To celebrate, the Section will be hosting a series of events throughout 2013, with the theme of “People, Projects and Policies” and the goals of promoting civil engineering to the community and celebrating the accomplishments of civil engineers in the development of the Puget Sound area. The year-long Centennial Celebration will include a marquee Gala Event, a museum-quality exhibition of the “Centenary Civil Engineers that Built Seattle” at Sea-Tac International Airport to bring the history of local civil engineers to the public, an update to the ASCE Seattle Section Infrastructure Report Card, publication of a brochure highlighting local civil engineering milestones, and special community outreach events.
We are asking for your help to donate to the Centennial Celebration. Planning efforts have been underway since 2011 and we are now on the homestretch. Any level of support you can provide will help the Section implement the centennial activities. Your tax-deductible contribution will help cover expenses including production of the “Centenary Civil Engineers that Built Seattle” exhibit, Gala costs, brochure publication, and outreach and promotional materials.
Thank you very much for your consideration. Your donation will help the Section mark this special milestone. We hope you will help us celebrate our Centennial!
