TIZITA'S LETTER:
I am Tizita and I'm 9 1/2 years old. I was adopted from Ethiopia 5 years ago and now I am living in Seattle. I am a kid who likes Seattle.
I am writing to you because I'm trying to raise money for Water 1st. Water 1st is an organization that helps people in other places get clean water. I decided to help Water 1st because I used to not have fresh water myself and if I wanted a drink I could not always get it because I could not get it from the faucet. I had to walk.
On May 6, I'm doing a walk-a-thon and I'm supposed to carry water on my back. I carry water on my back so that I can see what it would be like to carry water for a long distance.
You can help me by giving as much money as you please for the people in Honduras, Bangladesh, India and Ethiopia to get fresh water, toilets, and education.
Thanks,
Tizita
FEKADU'S LETTER:
Hi, I am Fekadu. I am six years old. I lost my front tooth! I was born in Ethiopia, but now I live in Seattle.
I am writing because I want to do a walk-a-thon to send water to Ethiopia because that's where I lived and I didn't have fresh water. It is NOT FUN. You can even die.
On May 6, I'm going to walk a long mile and I'm going to carry water. You can help by giving me, like, $5.00. I'm going to give it to Water 1st and see if I can collect the most money. I would really like your help. Thank you for thinking about it.
Fekadu
