For its 3rd year in a row, Team Sjogren's CA is coming together to run and walk in the Santa Cruz Wharf to Wharf 10k Race and fundraise for the Sjogren's Foundation.
Who We Are:
Team Sjögren's CA 2012 is 30 local friends raising $30,000 in honor of one Boulder Creek, Calif. mom who suffers from Sjögren's. Over the last two years, we’ve raised an incredible $38,000 for the Sjögren's Syndrome Foundation.
What We Do:
We run and walk in the Wharf to Wharf 10K race in Santa Cruz, Calif. Our other events include: Sip for Sjögren’s - a fine wine and chocolate tasting event, a golf tournament, a rummage sale, a bake sale and a 4th of July lemonade stand.
Why We Run:
We run to raise awareness. We run to raise money. And we run to stay in shape. But mostly we run to support our friend with Sjögren’s. 4,000,000 Americans suffer from Sjögren's, a systemic and debilitating autoimmune disease. There is no cure and 9 out of 10 patients are women. Our friend is one of those women. We run for her.
