Welcome to Team Shae Shae's Fundraising Page!

"Hi my name is Shannon Wessinger.  I am a 31 year-old mother of two precious children.  Following my son’s birth I had a tubal ligation.  Subsequently I contracted a blood-infection that lead to a very low blood-pressure state.  For several weeks I was on complete life-support, requiring intravenous medications that shifted oxygen-rich blood from my hands and feet to my vital organs.  Amputations of my hands and feet were necessary as a part of my recovery.  Many people told me I should have died three times during the course of my illness. Losing my hands and feet has been very emotional and difficult but I am very thankful to be alive, to be a wife and mother and continue on God’s life journey.  Thank you for your support and may God bless you in your life." ~Shannon

Why team Shae Shae you may ask?

During the course of Shannon's treatment at the hospital the team of doctors and nurses were amazed at the resiliency of Shannon's spirit and strength of her body.  During Shannon's recovery, we were amazed at her determination and persistence to continue despite the loss of her limbs.  She has touched all of our lives!  We want to do something for Shannon!  "Shae Shae" was Shannon's nick-name in softball.  We are organizing a team to raise funds for Shannon and her family, to help pay for medical expenses and her prosthetics.  We want YOU to be a part too!!!
