Kalamazoo Humane Society (KHS) is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that has provided animal protection and welfare services to the community for 116 years. The KHS is a leader in pet population control and humane education. It also has an emergency pet food bank and provides safe housing for animal victims of domestic assault.. As a non-sheltering facility the KHS works with the Kalamazoo County Department of Animal Services & Enforcement to address the needs of stray and homeless animals.
