Description: Our mission is to advance the scientific and medical research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer.
Mission: The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research was established in 1998. It was named for Marc Lustgarten, Vice Chairman of Cablevision Systems Corporation, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Convinced that research will cure cancer, the Board of Directors of the Lustgarten Foundation pledged to create a mechanism whereby the best and brightest minds could address issues related to pancreatic cancer. Today, The Lustgarten Foundation is the nation's largest private supporter of pancreatic cancer research. We are confident that, as the scientific community continues moving forward in its understanding of this disease, we will be better able to diagnose, treat, and ultimately, cure pancreatic cancer.
