And many thanks to renowned artist, Addison Palmer, who has generously agreed to donate his original art work as a fundraiser for Triad Free to Breathe. (See image on left “Along the Shore”) The painting, which is framed, is on canvas 16-inches by 20-inches. Similar works by Addison have been auctioned for up to $7,500.

A drawing will be held November 15, 2008, at Grandover Parkway, Greensboro, NC, at the Triad Free to Breathe 5K Race/Walk & Rally. Addison will be present to draw the winning name from a pool of all entries. You do not need to be present to win. Addison will present the original painting to the winner, if present. Otherwise, "Along the Shore" will be insured and shipped to your home--at no expense to you.

About the Artist
Born in Savannah, Georgia and raised on Hilton Head Island off the coast of South Carolina, Addison showed artistic ability at an early age, drawing and painting everything around him. Son of the painter Jim Palmer and nephew of sculptor Walter Palmer, Addison has creativity that was encouraged and nurtured. He attended Brevard College on a full art scholarship and also as a stand out distance runner.
After college, Addison moved to St. Simon's Island where he continued to paint. Natural beauty that surrounded him and images of the low country are reflected in his work.
Addison opened an art gallery at St Simon’s. He paints wildlife and landscape scenes around the world. He is also a gifted art teacher and demonstrates his work around the world. He has taught on cruise lines including Cunard and Seabourn.
Addison’s original artwork is displayed in several fine art galleries including the Red Piano Art Gallery on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, the Anderson Fine Art Gallery on St. Simons Island, Georgia, the Sheldon Fine Art Gallery in Naples, Florida and in Newport, RI, the Germanton Art Gallery, Germanton North Carolina and the Village Smith Gallery in Winston Salem North Carolina.
