Along with hundreds of other middle schoolers at LCBC, I've made a commitment to participate in Hoops of Hope, a free throw shooting marathon. I'm doing this to help children who live in the Tseikuru region of Kenya in Africa.

Since 2003, our church, LCBC, has committed to transforming this region in Kenya and have been actively involved in providing clean drinking water, sponsoring children and helping start a bank to help get people on their feet. And we have more work to do. This is why I am shooting my free throws. The money we raise will help bring clean water to the people of Tseikuru. Right now, only half the population has access to clean water. Water-borne diseases and death rates can be reduced just by getting clean water to the people who need it. Every free throw I shoot, I am shooting it for a child in Tseikuru who will get clean water that they don't have access to now!
