Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I'm working to meet and hopefully exceed my goal to raise $1000 for the Global Autism Project. I have come to know the Global Autism Project and Molly very well over the past year or so and am constantly amazed at the work they do. I had no idea what autism was before meeting Molly, the founder and Executive Director, nor how prevelent it is. 1 in 88 people will be diagnosed with autism in their lifetime. Crazy right?
Luckily, we live in a country where services abound, and though not perfect, they are available and help people with autism live normal, productive lives.
The Global Autism Project works to bring not only awareness but sustainable services to places around the world. They do work in places where children with autism are often feared by their communitied and thought to be possessed.
I have watched Molly, the founder and Executive Director, work tirelessly giving unappologetically her time, energy and own resources to a cause that is so desparately needed. I've often wondered why she does this work, work that no other organization on the PLANET is doing, often without recognition, thanks or even pay. But then she shows me videos of parents seeing their kids speak for the first time in 9 yrs, and mothers so grateful for an organization that finally recognizes their child as human.
So yea, I'm participating in the Paddle For Autism Awareness. I would really appreciate your help!
Would you be able to chip in $30, $50, or $100 to help me surpass my goal?
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Best,
Aja
