Welcome to Kootenai Humane Society. We are a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. KHS is not a government agency and we do not receive funds from the City, County, State or Government. We depend entirely on grants, fundraisers, income from the adoption center, thrift stores, and donations. The mission of Kootenai Humane Society is to provide quality humane care, rehabilitation, adoption, and education for the good of the animals and their companions in our community.
