Welcome to PRBO's 34th annual Birdathon with the Alameda Godwits!!
Thank you so much for visiting our site for raising conservation dollars for PRBO. We will be participating in the birdathon September 19, birding almost 24 hours to help raise money for PRBO's vital ongoing research. More than ever, we need your support!
PROJECTS SUPPORTED BY THE 2011 BIRDATHON using birds as indicators: Ocean conservation along the California Current; Climate change & its impact on SF Bay; Migratory land and water birds from California to Antarctica; Sierra birds and forestry management; Oil spill preparedness and training; Conservation education in SF Bay schools, International docent training of field biologists. More and more governmental and non-profit organizations rely on baseline data from PRBO to help make key decisions that affect all of our lives, as well as in helping to protect habitats and wildflife. Join us: on a PRBO Birding Walk on September 17, 9am-Noon, at Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont. Cost: $35 tax deductible donation to PRBO Birdathon. This is one of the premier birding wetlands in the Bay Area and a favorite of ours.
