Charity Challenge for Children with Learning Disabilities
7-Day Vigorous Trek through the Moroccan Sahara Desert

On January 29, I am taking on the Sahara Desert to raise funds for The Norwood Hope Centre, I am paying my own travel costs so 100% of the money you donate will go to benefit the children of this charity. This trek will entail 7 days of hiking, 20 km per day through the Sahara Desert.

In 1993, The Norwood Hope Centre for Cognitive Education (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOtD4WzoiKQ) was founded in England, an inspiration of Professor Reuven Feuerstein's Institute in Jerusalem. Professor Feuerstein, a holocaust survivor, began developing his theories in the late 1940's while working with children who had been separated from their parents by the holocaust. The children at The Hope Centre have made some incredible achievements because of the specialized attention they receive. I believe this is a very important cause and I feel we can make a difference by investing in these children's future.
