Alex's Race of Our Lives
When I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension I was told I wouldn't see my children grow up, graduate high school, get married or have children of their own. Doctors told me I would be lucky to survive a year and that I surely would not live to see my 30th birthday.
Thanks to hard-won research dollars, dedicated medical professionals, a community of hope providing support, fundraising events like this one, and and through the Grace of God, I am alive and celebrating my 15 years of battling the disease.
During the month of November, I will be walking one mile everyday in an event I'm calling 30 Miles in 30 Days. I'm doing this because my specialist told me I need to exercise and that walking in conjunction with Pulmonary Rehab, which I'm doing, will help me more than any medications ever will. But more than that, I'm doing this to raise awareness for Pulmonary Hypertension!
Please walk with me by donating whatever you can, Thank you!
I’m raising money for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, would like to ask you to support the cause and make a donation to my fundraising page: 30 Miles in 30 Days!
All donations are secure and sent directly to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association by FirstGiving, who will email you a printable record of your donation.
Please share my page with any of your friends and family that may be inspired to donate as well.
Every dollar counts and every donation is greatly appreciated!!
Thank you for your support!
