Hello friends and family!
Once again the Sigma Chi Fraternity of the University of Iowa and myself are participating in the Polar Plunge. The polar plunge raises money for the Special Olympics, where children and adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in Special Olympics develop improved physical fitness and motor skills, greater self-confidence and a more positive self-image.
Our Iowa City Polar Plunge consists of Individuals and teams, alongside our athletes and hundreds of community members, experiencing heartwarming and bone chilling extremes as they take the plunge into icy Coralville Lake.
Last year was a huge success. Our fraternity raised thousands of dollars, and came in first place for all Fraternities.
This event has a special place in my heart for many reasons because my aunt, whom i was very close to, passed away at the age of 23 from mental disabilities and other misfortunes. I did the polar plunge last year in her memory and will continue to do it every year in loving memory of her. This even truly means a special deal to me along with everyone participating so any donations will help.
So please donate to my page and help me bring hope and smiles to each member of the Special Olympics!! EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Thank you for your time.
