I ran Boston last year for Mass Eye and Ear and I loved it! More selfishly, I was able to lose 60 lbs and change my lifestyle, both with excercise and eating habits. I have run in over 26 races, including the Chicago Marathon and 5 half marathons. Update: 3/25: OK, so I'm slacking again on the updates, but I assure you, it's quite the opposite with my training. Last year, I hit 20 miles once and had a peak weekly mileage of 44. This year, I've broken 20 five times so far, with a 22 miler to go. My high for a week has been 67, although I wasn't working, so I'm finding that tougher to do with a full-time job. Since the new year, I've lost another 20 lbs and ran 3 more 1/2 marathons, lowering my time 8 min to 1:35.41. But enough about me. Thank you all so much for your generosity- we just hit our goal today! I'm going for a run now, but I will get in at least 1 more update before 4/21, as well as after the race.
4/20: I'll be wearing a red tank top tomorrow. I should cross the starting line between 10:30 and 10:40 and I'll be going 8mph, or 7:30 miles, so hopefully that will help you spot me depending on where you are standing. If everything goes right, I might be able to break 3:20, and it looks like it should be nice weather. Thanks again and I'll provide a report after the race.
