For our third year in a row, we are once again participating in this short walk at Oaks Park for our sweet Alex!

Alexander Roy Zelinka is a bright, energetic 5-year-old who struggles with Autism. He is loved by so many people, including of course his family, friends, teachers, therapists, and church family. 

Well, this year we want YOU to join us! This walk-a-thon is amazing because it really gives you a chance to "walk a mile" in the shoes of an autistic child. Not only will you be walking with Team Alex, but you'll also be surrounded by many other Autistic children and their families!

Here are the top 3 reasons why you should walk with Team Alex this year!

1) The walk is SHORT, and your cost is minimal! Just $10 and you get a FREE t-shirt!  Who doesn't love that?

2) The event is being held at Oaks Amusement Park, which means that yes, there will be rides to be ridden, cotton candy to be eaten, and all kinds of other fun stuff after our walk! It's a family affair!

3) The experience is invaluable and it would mean the world to our family if you would come out and stand with Alex for this very important cause.

Our first year walking, Team Alex had 8 walkers. Well, last year we had over 50! Let's do it again! Join us - we can do it! (Note: Be sure you join "Team Alex" in the signing up process - your team captain is Kristi Zelinka!)

Now, if you can't walk with us this year, your donation to this incredible cause would be such a gift in Alex's honor. The ASO helps the families with autistic kids receive services (and fun stuff!) they might never have been able to afford. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.

I know we can raise $1000 because we did $2000 last year!!!
