Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
On April 18, 2011 I will be running the 2011 Boston Marathon for the Boston Bruins Foundation. The Boston Bruins Foundation's mission is to assist charitable organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children throughout New England.
I am SO excited to be a part of the Boston Bruins' Boston Marathon Team once again! I had such an amazing experience last year, and I cannot wait to run 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boston all for a wonderful cause! I am currently in my 5th season as a Boston Bruins Ice Girl, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to represent my fellow teammates and the Boston Bruins Organization.
I graduated from Boston University a semester early (December 2009) with a degree in Pre-Medicine/Health Science. I am currently working in research full-time at Massachusetts General Hospital, in the Plastic Surgery Laboratory. I will be applying to Physician Assistant/Master of Science programs next summer, and hope to continue a career in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Being a Bostonian, I have grown up around the energy and excitement that makes the Boston Marathon such a historic event. I made it a goal of mine to one day run the Boston Marathon, and last year I was able to fulfill that goal all while raising money for children throughout New England. Through the many generous donations from family and friends, I was able to raise over $4,000 for the Foundation last year!
Thank you for taking the time to support me and the Boston Bruins Foundation!!
Lots of love,
Alexa
